I swear, sometime soon I'll post something other than Umezu's house or Shintaro Kago news... But you're not complaining, right? Here is the latest short clip from KagoTube, 時計の復讐 / "Revenge of the clock":

haha, nice one
Maybe of interest to you: http://meanwhilecomics.blogspot.com/2009/03/black-jack.html
@l'elk!: yeah, i love this one
@tomorrowboy 2.5: Thanks for the link! I appreciate it, will try to post in the future
Kago and Umez news will do until we get some Maruo news.
I think this may be my favourite so far.
Also, while we're on the topic of Kago, I've just become aware of this blog which has scanlated some of Kago's manga... http://brolen9104.wordpress.com/ ... thought I'd mention it just in case anyone else was unaware of it.
This and the Olympics are my favorites so far :)
Great blog jimpac. Thank you!
@anonymous: I'll see what public news I can dig up and share.
@jimpac: I like this one too. I'm getting the DVD of all his shorts next week, so I'm excited to see if these are the norm or the shorter ones.
Thanks for the link-- I'm a bit weirded out by that site, taking donations/commissions for scanlations? I am getting less and less interested in scanlations-- I guess it's for other people and blogs to tackle now. But thanks for the head's up!
@Okada: I agree, those have been my 2 faves so far. Nate told me about a couple others that sound REALLY good, hoping that they get added in the near future.
Ryan- Yeah, taking money for scanlations does seem rather mercenary! Still, I figured the sight may be of interest to readers of Same Hat (mostly for the Kago and a couple of other things... a lot of what's on there really doesn't appeal to me!)
I'm hoping a legitimate publisher might pick up some of Kago's material soon. I'm pretty sure that this is the perfect time for such a venture.
Also, looking forward to hearing your views on the DVD.
@jimpac: Yeah, there are some things on that blog that I'm sure folks (me included) would like if they dig around. I get emails occasionally from folks wanting to know if I want to help/participate in a scanlation project. What I want is to continue lining up legit licensed projects. It's a rough climate for edgy and untested books/genres/authors, but I agree that Kago's time will be coming. If I ever hear anything official that is public info from any corners of the mangasphere, I'll definitely post here. *begins further scheming*
Ryan!
